HMD Global has rolled out a software update for the Nokia X6 that will enable users to hide the notch. Several users posted on social network Baidu Tieba about the new software update and shared images as well. Along with the ability to disable or enable notch, the new update also includes other features like support for portrait mode, background app restrictions and the ability to hide apps. It also brings ‘game screen touch control-related’ optimisations, UI improvements and left swipe gesture to delete SMS.
Nokia X6 is currently exclusive to China. However, the Nokia X6 global variant recently passed Taiwan NCC certification suggesting the phone will make its way to global markets soon. Last month, HMD Global’s chief product officer Juho Sarvikas hosted a Twitter poll to evaluate the demand for the smartphone in other markets.
Nokia X6 debuted in China last month for a price starting at Yuan 1299 (around Rs 13,800). The phone has a notch on top of the screen. The phone features a 5.8-inch FHD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layered on top. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor.
Nokia X6 runs Android 8.1 Oreo. In terms of optics, it sports dual camera sensors packing a 16MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor. Up front, it has a 16MP sensor for selfies. It comes in two RAM options- 4GB/6GB RAM. The 4GB RAM model is paired with 32GB/64GB storage, while the 6GB variant is paired with 64GB storage. Nokia X6 has a battery backup of 3060mAh.
Honor 20 Pro With Quad Camera Setup, Hole-Punch Display Launched
The Honor 20 series has finally been unveiled, and the most premium of the three phones is the Honor 20 Pro. The phone is equipped with a quad camera setup at the back and a 32-megapixel selfie senor for imaging and video shooting. It features a 6.26-inch hole-punch display, packs a large 4,000mAh battery, is powered by the Kirin 980 processor based on the 7nm process, and offers up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The fingerprint scanner is side-mounted. At the London launch, Honor also unveiled the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Lite.

The Honor 20 Pro is priced starting at EUR 599 (roughly Rs. 46,500). The phone has been made available in Phantom Black and Phantom Blue colour options.
India pricing and availability is set to be announced on June 11. The phone will be sold on Flipkart online. Alongside the Honor 20 Pro, the company also launched the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Lite phones at its London event as well.

As for specifications, the Honor 20 Pro runs on Android Pie-based Magic UI 2.1.0. The phone features a 6.26-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) display with 412ppi pixel density and 91.7 percent screen-to-body ratio. The phone is powered by the 7nm Kirin 980 processor with dual-NPU and up to 8GB of RAM. Inbuilt storage is offered up to 256GB.
The Honor 20 Pro offers a quad camera setup that entails a primary 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 snapper with f/1.4 aperture and a large 0.5-inch sensor. There’s a secondary 16-megapixel super-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 117-degree angle lens. It is accompanied by an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with f/2.4 aperture that support 3x lossless optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom, 30x digital zoom, and 4-axis OIS..
Lastly, the quad camera setup has a 2-megapixel macro camera with f/2.4 aperture for 4cm near macro photography. Features include 4-axis OIS, AIS, EIS, PDAF, AI Ultra Clarity Mode, AIS Super Night Mode, and more. There is also laser autofocus. It supports up to 4K video recording. It has received an overall DxOMark score of 111, Honor announced at the event. Up front, there is a 32-megapixel selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture and 3D portrait lightning. It offers up to 1080p video recording, supported by EIS.
The Pro variant packs a 4,000mAh battery with 22.5W Honor Super Charge support that touts to charge 50 percent of the battery in 30 minutes. The dimensions of the phone are 154.60×73.97×8.44mm and it weighs 182 grams. The phone supports Virtual 9.1 Surround Sound technology, and comes with dual microphones. Sensors on board include proximity sensor, digital compass, ambient light sensor, gravity sensor, hall-sensor, and gyroscope.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5, and USB 2.0. It supports GPU Turbo 3.0 and Graphene Cooling Sheet technology for intense gaming sessions. As mentioned, the Honor 20 Pro houses a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Lastly, the company also unveiled a Honor + Fortnite Wonder Outfit, exclusively for Honor 20 series users.
Roav by Anker Brings Alexa-Powered Smart Car Charger to India
Roav by Anker is finally entering the Indian market with the launch of its Alexa-enabled car charger – Viva Pro. The company claims that this is the first Alexa-enabled car charger to be released in the country. The Viva Pro has been priced at Rs. 5,490 and is already available via all major electronics and auto accessories stores in the country. It will also be offered via Amazon beginning June.
According to Roav by Anker, the Viva Pro smart car charger supports voice-controlled navigation, music streaming, voice-initiated calling, and a lot more, all using the Amazon Alexa capabilities. Given the availability of thousands of skills on Alexa, there is plenty that Viva Pro users can do with the smart car charger.
Viva Pro can be plugged into the cigarette lighter of your car and features two USB ports with high-speed charging support. It also packs two microphones with Acoustic Echo Cancellation to accurately hear every command being relayed by the user. The company notes that Viva Pro can hear both driver and passenger’s voice clearly even when music is being played in the car.
The smart car charger also comes with a physical button to mute the microphone and an LED that lights up when the device is actively listening to voice commands.
Roav by Anker Innovations says that Viva Pro can work with pretty much every car, thanks to the support for Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, AUX-Out, and FM Transmission.
The debut of Roav by Anker follows the entry of Anker, Eufy, and Soundcore brands from the company in India. Anker Innovations made its entry in India in June last year with Eufy and Anker brands, and Soundcore followed later.

‘Student Of The Year 2’ actress Ananya Panday, who is said to have called Shah Rukh Khan her “second dad” recently, got playful with the superstar’s youngest son AbRam.
Ananya showcased her ability to touch the tip of her nose with her tongue. She took to Instagram Stories and shared a video clip which also features AbRam.
In the video, she is seen teaching the little boy how to do the gorlin sign.
