NHM J&K receives national level award at ‘Governance Now 4th Digital Transformation Summit’

Jammu: National Health Mission (NHM), J&K received the award for Swasthya Nidhi survey app in the Health Category at the fourth Digital Transformation Awards Summit titled ‘ Towards Integrated Digital Health Infrastructure’ organized by Governance Now. The project was appreciated at the National-level for leveraging digital approach to track suspicious COVID-19 patients and to take timely action.

Mission Director, NHM, J&K, Yasin M Choudhary who was one of the key speakers in the Digital Summit spoke on various aspects of Ayushman Bharat digital health Mission (ABDM) including HMIS, e-sanjeevani – Telemedicine, RBSK & ASHA applications.

While giving details about the project, Mission Director NHM, J&K said that Swasthya Nidhi a survey app is an integrated health audit & intensive screening framework designed to collect the health data of individuals from households in J&K and to take timely action to track suspicious COVID-19 patients.

The data after collection is scanned by medical teams to take requisite action for preventing the spread of the virus. It is a unique initiative of the Government that helped to contain the spread of COVID-19. Under this initiative, various teams were constituted to perform the health audit of the citizens. The teams captured the health status of the people which helped to identify the symptomatic people and necessary containment measures were taken by the department, he added.

The project had helped the administration at the district, block and village level in risk assessment for suitable action and allocation of resources at all levels.
