New OTT platform coming soon to transform Punjabi entertainment media

With cinemas taking a big hit during the pandemic, the craze for over-the-top (OTT) platforms to fulfil people’s entertainment needs at home has grown tremendously.

International OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney Hotstar have witnessed huge demand in these two years.

Though these popular platforms offer a wide variety of content for viewers across India and abroad, they do not have much to provide to the regional audience.

The new upcoming OTT platform which will be launched by Pitaara TV is sure to bring a new lease of entertainment for Punjabi, Haryanvi, and Bhojpuri audiences spread worldwide.

Soon to be launched by August, the platform will prove to be a breakthrough in the regional entertainment industry.

Viewers will get to watch original movies, web series, and other fresh content in their native languages.

The creation of this new OTT platform is under process and has already ensured employment to many producers, directors, actors, spot, cinematographers, writers and other artists amid crisis.

Pitaara TV managing director Sandeep Bansal said that the OTT is the need of the hour and the future of the industry.

He said that he had always had the idea in his mind, but the pandemic triggered it and he realised that it was the best time to launch such a dynamic platform that would deliver quality entertainment to people at a reasonable cost.

He further said that the platform is a big transition not only for industry folks but also for regional audiences across the globe while adding that the OTT will most likely be launched by August this year.
