JAMMU, DECEMBER 23: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) celebrated Christmas with great enthusiasm and warmth at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan, Jammu. The event witnessed the presence of senior party leaders, including Mustafa Kamal, Additional General Secretary of JKNC; Mubarak Gul, senior NC leader and former Speaker; Ajay Kr. Sadhotra former minister and Additional General Secretary Jammu, Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President Jammu JKNC; Babu Rampaul former minister and Central Zone President, Sheikh Bashir Ahmad Provincial Secretary Jammu and a large number of party workers and supporters. The function was organized by Waris Gill, President Christian Cell, JKNC.
The celebrations began with the ceremonial cake-cutting, symbolizing unity, love, and the spirit of Christmas. Addressing the gathering, Mustafa Kamal extended his heartfelt Christmas greetings to the Christian community and emphasized the importance of celebrating festivals that promote brotherhood and harmony. He said, “Christmas reminds us of the values of compassion, peace, and humanity, which are the essence of our secular fabric. Let us pledge to work together for a more inclusive and harmonious Jammu and Kashmir.”
Mubarak Gul and Ajay Kumra Sadhotra while addressing the gathering, highlighted the need to uphold the spirit of communal harmony and mutual respect that defines the ethos of Jammu and Kashmir. They said, “Christmas is not just a festival for one community; it is a message for all of humanity to come together, love one another, and build a society based on trust and understanding. The JKNC stands firm in its commitment to fostering unity among all communities.”
Provincial President Rattan Lal Gupta reiterated the party’s dedication to the welfare of all sections of society, emphasizing inclusivity and equal opportunities for all. He stated, “JKNC has always championed the cause of secularism and unity. On this auspicious occasion, we call upon everyone to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and work for the progress and prosperity of our beloved Jammu and Kashmir.”
