Srinagar, Apr 23: The Naib Tehsildar (NT) applicants, who are supposed to appear in the written test on April 29, being conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board(JKSSB) have alleged discrepancies in the admit cards.
The applicants said that despite them mentioning Kashmir as their centre choice, they have been allotted the centre at Jammu.
“We applied for the post some three years ago. Kashmir was our centre choice but we fail to understand why we have been allotted the centre at Jammu,” said Arshid Ahmad, who has been allotted the centre at Government College for women, Gandhi Nagar.
The applicants said that the authorities are deliberately resorting to discrepancies, just to keep them away from the examination.
“How can we move to Jammu for appearing in the examination? We belong to poor families. Where from will we get fare to reach the centre? It seems that the authorities do not want us to appear in the written test,” said an applicant.
Incharge secretary, JKSSB Rehana Akhtar said that she would look into the matter.
