MeT predicts snow, rains till Mar 3

Srinagar, Feb 25: Weatherman on Monday predicted a wet week in the Kashmir from February 25 and light rain, snow, thundershowers in next 24 hrs in the valley.
The meteorological department said that from February 25 to March 03 the state will witness fairly widespread, widespread and isolated downpour.
“On Feb 25 and March 1, we expect fairly widespread downpour while on Feb 26, March 2 and 3 widespread rains, snowfall is expected in the state,” a MeT official said.
On Feb 27 and 28 rains, snowfall at isolated places is expected, they said.
Meanwhile, one-way traffic continued to ply on Srinagar-Jammu highway with hundreds of vehicles leaving Kashmir for Jammu on Monday morning.
Hundreds of vehicles, including those carrying passengers, left different parts of Kashmir valley for Jammu on the highway early on Monday morning, a traffic official said.
Meanwhile, Leh-Srinagar highway, connecting Ladakh region with the valley, and historic Mughal road remained closed for traffic for the last about two months due to the accumulation of several feet of snow.
