SRINAGAR, APRIL 02: The Meteorological Department has predicted light snowfall over the higher reaches of north Kashmir and the Sonamarg-Zojila axis on Thursday, with generally cloudy conditions expected by the afternoon.
An official stated that the weather is likely to remain dry across Jammu and Kashmir from April 4 to 7. However, between April 8 and 11, scattered and isolated areas in the region may receive light snowfall.
“On April 8, the sky will turn cloudy in the afternoon, with a chance of light snowfall over the higher reaches of north Kashmir and Sonamarg. From April 9 to 10, the weather will mostly remain cloudy, accompanied by light rain and snow at scattered places in Kashmir and isolated locations in Jammu,” the official said.
For April 11, the official forecasted generally cloudy skies with light rain and snow over isolated higher reaches in the morning, followed by gradual improvement in weather conditions.
Tourists, travelers, and transporters have been advised to follow official advisories issued by the administration and traffic authorities. Meanwhile, farmers have been encouraged to continue their routine agricultural activities. (CNS)
