Hyderabad: Just weeks after the high-profile murder of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi during his honeymoon, another disturbing case has emerged—this time from Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. A man named Tejeswar, 32, has been found dead in a canal nearly a month after his wedding. His wife, Ishwarya, and her mother, Sujatha, have been detained by police for questioning.

Tejeswar, a private land surveyor and dance teacher, went missing on June 17. He had married Ishwarya on May 18. According to his family, Ishwarya was allegedly involved in an extramarital affair and they suspect a conspiracy behind Tejeswar’s death. They claim Ishwarya was previously in a relationship with a bank employee and that her mother, Sujatha—who also works at a bank—was aware of it.

The wedding, initially scheduled for February, was delayed when Ishwarya briefly disappeared. She later returned, reaffirmed her love for Tejeswar, and insisted on marrying him. Tejeswar’s family had reportedly cautioned him against the alliance but say he remained firm in his decision.

A senior police officer confirmed that an investigation is underway, but declined to comment on the family’s allegations.

This case has surfaced amid nationwide shock over the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi, who was allegedly killed by his wife, Sonam, during their honeymoon in Meghalaya. Sonam, along with her lover and other co-accused, is in police custody after confessing to her role in the crime.
