Man ends life after wife refuses to cook chicken curry

An auto-rickshaw driver ended his life after his wife refused to cook chicken for dinner.

After returning from work, M Ratan Lal (32), of Dundigal in Telangana asked his wife to cook chicken curry for him. He had purchased chicken from a nearby shop.

However, his wife told him that their daughter was ill and cannot cook a non-vegetarian dish at home.

An argument broke out between the two. Ratan Lal locked himself in a room and allegedly consumed poison, police said.

His wife informed her neighbours and relatives who rushed Ratan Lal to Gandhi Hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment. A case under Section 174 of CrPC was booked and the investigation is on.
