Bikaner, Oct 19:Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said that all militants in Kashmir come from Pakistan.
“We want that peace be maintained in Kashmir and we are making a lot of efforts for that. We’ve allocated maximum possible fund for development of Kashmir. As far as militancy is concerned, all militants coming there are from Pakistan,” Rajnath said on Friday while celebrating Dussehra in the forward post of the BSF along the highly sensitive Indo-Pak border here.
He also said that technological solutions in border security, which were being implemented by India, would eliminate the need for a soldier to stand guard round-the-clock to protect the borders.
He said a comprehensive integrated border management system was being implemented by the government to strengthen border security and a pilot project under the system was launched in Jammu.
“We want that such technological solutions be used where there is fencing because it gets damaged after some time. This will ensure a complete border security,” Singh said while addressing BSF men here.
“We are going to implement this too this will take time but our soldiers will not have the need to stand guard constantly round-the-clock on the border for protection,” he said.
Singh said there would a command and control centre where the soldiers would monitor activities on the border.
“They will get to know if any intruder is entering into India and the nearest border outpost will be alerted by the command and control centre and security will be ensured,” he said.
Singh said the people of the nation had faith in the BSF personnel and it had increased rapidly recently. He also claimed the Pakistani rangers were jittery due to the BSF.
Singh said he had seen their hard work when they guarded borders and also in Naxal and violence-affected areas.
“You have a feeling of national respect which inspires you. It was the feeling which had inspired Chandra Shekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh and Khudiram Bose to fight for the freedom of the country,” he said.
He was speaking after the worship of weapons or ‘ShastraPujan’.
He said there would be no need to use weapons if the neighbouring country stopped using them.
Highlighting the significance of Dussehra, he said Rama was worshipped on the occasion instead of Ravana, who was rich, powerful, intelligent, because it was “character” which made a difference.
Senior BSF officers were also present on the occasion. The minister is also scheduled to visit the Indo-Pak border during his visit to the border district.
Rajasthan’s four districts of Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Sriganganagar and Barmer share over thousand km long border with Pakistan and are guarded by the BSF.

SC/ST reservation in Govt job promotion for J&K: Cabinet approves 10% EWS quota provision
New Delhi, Feb 21: Union cabinet has given its nod to 10 per cent quota for poor among the general categories in Jammu and Kashmir and also approved the provision for SC/ST reservation in promotion in government jobs in the state.
Minister of State in PMO Jitendra Singh said since Jammu and Kashmir is under the President’s Rule, the Cabinet on Tuesday in its meeting took these decisions.
Talking to reporters here at his official residence, Singh thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said it will help a certain section of society which belongs to lower economic strata and will benefit equally Jammu and Kashmir like other states.
He said the government had introduced the provision of reservation in promotion for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
“That too has been approved for Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
“It will enable Jammu and Kashmir to be beneficiaries of the same public welfare measures for the benefit of the weaker sections that PM Modi initiated for the rest of the country,” he said.
Hailing the decision Singh said that these decisions show the Prime Minister’s extremely sensitive concern for the state.
“In the last 65 years, no earlier government had ever taken an initiative on these lines and even now these decisions have come forth in the interest of the state because of the Modi Governmentbeing at the helm at the Centre,” he said.
The Union Cabinet had in January this year took the decision to provide for 10 per cent quota for people belonging to ‘unreserved categories’, including Christians and Muslims, in jobs and education with an annual income limit of Rs 8 lakh and land-holding ceiling of about five acres, highly-placed sources said.
Kashmir is simmering because of Nehru: Amit Shah
Rajamahendravaram, Feb 21: Kashmir remained an unresolved issue only because former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru tackled it in the wrong way, leading to Pakistan indulging in militant acts, BJP President Amit Shah said here Thursday asking the Congress not to politicise the issue.
“Kashmir remained a problem only because of Jawaharlal Nehru. Sardar Patel tackled Hyderabad and it is now respectfully part of India but Jawaharlal Nehru tackled Kashmir and it continues to be a problem,” he said.
Addressing a large meeting of BJP workers here, Shah said Pakistan was indulging in militant acts because of Kashmir. “Kashmir is simmering because of Jawaharlal Nehru. Had Patel been the prime minister at the time, Kashmir would not have remained a problem,” he added.
Lashing out at the Congress for “politicising” the recent attack on CRPF personnel in Pulwama, the BJP president said the opposition party was not to going to derive any benefit out of it.
“With what face is the Congress raising questions against the Prime Minister? Congress called the Army chief names, it raised doubts over the surgical strikes (on terror havens in Pakistan), it accused the Prime Minister of trading with the soldiers’ blood, Congress’ Sidhu embraced Pakistan Army chief, the previous Congress president cried when terrorists were killed,” Shah said
The Congress has not even left the issue of militancy in its futile bid to remove Modi. “For Narendra Modi, the nation’s security is the top-most priority. He is toiling 18 hours a day for that. Congress… don’t teach patriotism to us. We are the ones who are ready to lay down our lives for Bharat Mata,” Shah asserted.
