Srinagar, July 08: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday addressed the Tourism Secretaries’ Conference of Union Territories at SKICC Srinagar.
In a post shared by the Office of LG on X, it stated: “Addressed Tourism Secretaries’ meet of UTs in Srinagar. This conference is a strong response to terrorism and showcases J&K’s steady journey towards peace, development, and prosperity. Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, J&K has become an unstoppable force and will continue to thrive.”
The post further highlighted that the growth of the tourism sector is only achievable in a secure and peaceful atmosphere. “While security forces have played a crucial role in eliminating terrorism in J&K, the responsibility of society is equally vital. Any attempt by terrorists to draw support from the community must be firmly countered,” it read.
LG Sinha commended the people of J&K for their rising resistance against terrorism. “Public protests against Pakistan-sponsored terrorists are a positive indication of the Valley’s commitment to lasting peace. All citizens of Jammu and Kashmir must stand united to ensure that there is no space for terrorism in this beautiful Union Territory,” he added.
