Leading chest specialist in Kashmir tests Covid positive

Srinagar: A leading pulmonologist, who is at the forefront of COVID-19 treatment and control at a Srinagar Hospital, has tested positive for the pathogen.

Sources said that the swab sample of the senior doctor at Chest Diseases hospital was taken on Monday afternoon and it returned positive late last night.

So far a number of doctors have tested positive for the virus in the Valley where the number of Covid-19 cases already surpassed 2600 mark while as many as 31 people including 27 from Valley and four from Jammu division have died so far. Only on Monday, a dentist, posted at government medical college here, tested positive for the virus. (GNS)
