Srinagar, Jun 10: Lal Singh’s brother Rajinder Singh against whom an FIR was lodged by Jammu and Kashmir Police after video showing him abusing Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti went viral has been finally arrested in Rajasthan.
Talking to Kashmir News Service Director General of Police S P Vaid said “a team of J&K police had went to Udaipur Rajasthan after receiving inputs about the whereabouts of Chowdhary Rajinder Singh and arrested him from Udaipur Rajasthan.” With this Jammu and Kashmir Police has achieved a major breakthrough in apprehending Chowdhary Rajinder Singh.
Contacted SSP Kathua Shri Dhar Patel said that Chowdhary Rajinder Singh was arrested under a well-planned operation carried out by a member of six officials of Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajasthan and the accused has been booked under section 501, 509 RPC and 66/67 IPC. The police team is likely to reach Kathua along with the accused Chowdhary Rajinder Singh by Sunday evening. (KNS)
