SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 18: The Kashmir Welfare Trust (KWT), under the leadership of Chairman Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo, successfully hosted Mission Wushnare 2024 at Bilaliya Educational Institute, Lal Bazar. Over 200 families received winter kits, which includes food kits, warm clothing, blankets, kangris, thermals, and hot water bottles.
Farooq Ahmad Shah, IAS (Retd) and MLA Gulmarg, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and emphasized the need to focus on employment generation to address the financial challenges faced by families.
Additionally, sewing machines were distributed to promote women’s empowerment, and bicycles were provided to students for safer school commutes. A medical camp, organized by Help Poor Voluntary Trust, offered healthcare support to attendees.
Speaking at the event, Chairman Wangnoo stated, “Empowerment through assistance is our priority. Giving a hand is better than merely giving in hand.”
The event saw active participation from civil society members, educationists, environmentalists, law enforcement officials, and students of Bilaliya Educational Institute, who assisted beneficiaries. Chairman Wangnoo extended his gratitude to administration, chief guest, the dignitaries, and volunteers, reiterating KWT’s commitment to humanitarian aid and sustainable empowerment.
