KM Senior Reporter Nisar Dharma bereaved

Srinagar: The uncle of The Kashmir Monitor Senior Reporter Nisar Dharma passed away after prolonged illness in Srinagar on Friday.

Haji Mohammad Yousuf Dharma, 68, was admitted to SKIMS Soura late Thursday night after he suffered a cardiac arrest at his home in Khayam here.

He passed away at the hospital just before dawn on Friday.

During the funeral and burial of the deceased, social distancing measures were strictly observed in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A retired government employee, the deceased was known for his philanthropy and calm character.

The Kashmir Monitor team offers its condolences to Nisar and the family of the deceased. We pray for peace to the departed soul.

As per family sources, no congregational fatiha khawani will be held in view of the coronavirus threat.

People are requested to offer condolences over the phone and pray for the deceased individually at their homes.
