Srinagar: Taking cognizance of The Kashmir Monitor report regarding chaos at Srinagar Airport, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) on Thursday said they have started clearing roads leading to the airport.
“#AAI’s Srinagar @Aaisnrairport staff is managing airport operations. State administration has deployed their manpower for clearing the snow from the Link Road to airport. Inconvenience caused to passengers is regretted.,” AAI said a tweet.
The flight operations resumed at Srinagar airport on Thursday after four days of cancellations due to the heavy snowfall.
A large number of passengers was seen walking on foot towards the airport as the snow was not fully cleared from the roads.
Passengers said they had to walk a long distance as there was severe traffic jams as authorities had not properly cleared the snow from the airport road.
