Srinagar, Mar 28: Mother of Fahad Mushtaq Waza, a youth from Akelmir, Khanyar, who recently joined militants, on Wednesday made fervent appeals for her son to return.
Mymoona, 40, along with other family members asked her son to return at an earliest.
“He left the home on Friday at around 3 pm. Before leaving, he told me that he was going to attend three day tableeghi jamaat (congregation). I didn’t know that he was lying,” said Mymoona.
Mymoona, in a trembling voice, said that Fahad was an obedient son and was loved by everyone in the locality.
“He used to do a lot of work at home. He was a student of 10th standard, but was sitting home these days. His is fully aware of the fact that I was suffering from hypertension. It is he who used to take me to the medical shop to get it checked. In his absence, who will take care of me,” she said.
Mymoona, who has two other sons, said that Fahad was her dearest.
“I have two other sons, Umer Mushtaq and Danish Mushtaq, both in their mid-20s.We, including his grandparents, are in a shock. His father has been bed ridden since he left,” she said.
“We appeal all his companions to let him go. They are also like my children. God bless them all.”
“My husband is a cook and has very low income. Still, we provided the best to our sons. I never thought that my son will leave like this. We need him. He is our strength,” she said.
