Srinagar, May 01: The United Jihad Council (UJC), a conglomerate of various Kashmir-based militant organisations, on Tuesday condemned the killing of a teenager in south Kashmir’s Pulwama and three youth in north Kashmir’s Baramulla, saying “India is avenging the people for their association with the freedom movement”.
Terming the killing of Kashmiri youth as “worst kind of state terrorism”, UJC secretary general Sheikh Jameel-ur-Rehman in a statement said, “To make innocent youth as a shield and killing them reveals the growing demoralization among Indian forces and their masters.”
“No matter how much killings and ethnic cleansing India perpetrates in Valley, Kashmiris will never surrender. The freedom movement is the legacy of our martyrs, over which no compromise is acceptable,” he said.
Sheikh paid tributes to slain armed youth and said the patience, valour and unity of the people of Kashmir will emerge as examples for the world.
