Defying odds, the State Football Academy (SFA) are set to make the benchmark by providing football training to Valley girls.
This is the only academy which is training girls at grass root level. Day by day more and more girls are showing interest to make themselves recognizable in the sports.
Nine Days: Six gunfights, 28 killed in Kashmir
South and Central Kashmir witnessed as many as six encounters since Nov 20. 22 militants were killed, the slain included some top LeT and Hizb commanders. Among the 28 killed, 22 militants, a teenager boy, and a girl were also killed. Three forces personnel were also killed. On Wednesday, Naveed Jatt along with his associate were killed in Chattergam area of Budgam.

Class 12th exams amid shutdown: Parents blame admin for lack of facilities
69000 candidates appeared for the 12th standard board examination today.The students and parents faced great inconvenience in wake of the shutdown called by Joint Hurriyat. The parents blamed the authorities of being unjust as they decided to conduct the exams despite the strike. They urged the government to either provide them with transport facilities or defer the exams in future.
