Construction of 500-bedded Children hospital in full swing
The state government has accorded sanction to conversion of 200 bedded maternity and 300 bedded pediatrics hospital at Bemina into a 500 bedded pediatric hospital. The 70-Cr project will improve the existing tertiary healthcare infrastructure. Once completed, the hospital will reduce patient rush at GB Pant.
Verdict of Kathua rape,murder:Lifer for 3, 5-yr term for 3, 1 acquitted
A Special Court in Pathankot Monday awarded life imprisonment to three out of the six convicted for the rape and murder of an eight-year-old girl in Jammu’s Kathua district last year.
After nearly a year-long trial, the court held the six guilty in the case that shook the conscience of people across India.
The court acquitted another accused Vishal Jangotra, son of mastermind Sanji Ram, giving him the ”benefit of doubt”.
