Srinagar, July 9: Joint Hurriyat Leadership comprising Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and Yasin Malik in a joint statement have said that killing Kashmiris in nooks and corners of Kashmir is nothing but state-sponsored “terrorism” intended to crush Kashmiri resistance. The spokesman in a statement said that government forces first kill innocents and then legitimize these killings by calling the slain as stone throwers. He said that same was done in case of Redwani killings where three innocents including a 13-year-old girl were killed under the same pretext. “We want to ask these killers that why Innocent Andleeb was killed and what was her crime, did not she also deserve life?” they asked. The spokesman said that government forces and police are deployed to Kill Kashmiris as they enjoy immunity from prosecution. He said that army has turned into “blood-sucking vampires” for Kashmiris and this is a consequence of the immunity provided to them by pro-India Kashmiri politicians, assembly, parliament and Panchayat members, their parties who legislate and implement laws like AFSPA to shelter these “criminals and their crimes”. Leaders said that on one hand government forces are killing innocents including girls in Kashmir and on the other hand international community seems to remain in deep slumber. We want to ask the international community that isn’t the blood of innocent 15 years Andaleeb enough to awaken their conscience. Aren’t Kashmiris are part of humanity and doesn’t they also have human rights which need to be protected? The families and relative of four youth, who were allegedly detained during a night raid in Hyderpora Srinagar, blocked the Srinagar airport road to protest against the detention. Reports said that the families and relatives of the four detained youth blocked the Srinagar airport road and protested against their detention. According to the protesting families the boys were picked up by the forces during a night raid on Saturday. They said the boys were playing near the flyover on Saturday and they have nothing to do with the incident. Earlier, a CRPF trooper and a civilian were injured in the blast near the flyover in Hyderpora Srinagar.
