Joint Hurriyat calls for shutdown, civil curfew today

Srinagar, July 6: Joint Hurriyat leadership Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik taking a strong note of shifting Asiya Andrabi along with her two associates, Fehmeeda Sofi and Nahida Nasreen to Delhi by the Indian National Investigation agency (NIA) and called for a complete shutdown on July 7 (today). Leaders condemned the “brazen and dastardly action” of NIA and termed it the “worst form of political vengeance and vendetta against the resistance leadership”. Joint Hurriyat made a fervent appeal to Kashmiris to observe complete shutdown and maintain civil curfew on Saturday.
