J&K to Witness Rain, Snow from March 25-27: MeT

Srinagar, March 24: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a weather advisory for Jammu and Kashmir, forecasting rain and snowfall in the region from March 25 to 27.

As per the advisory, March 24 is expected to be generally cloudy with dry weather. However, from March 25, scattered places, particularly in North and Central Kashmir, may experience light rain or snowfall over higher reaches.

A spell of light to moderate rain and snowfall is anticipated at multiple locations, mainly in North and Central Kashmir, from the late afternoon of March 26 until the evening of March 27.

Following this period, dry weather is expected to prevail from March 28 to 31, as well as from April 1 to 3.

Authorities have advised travelers, tourists, and transporters to plan their journeys accordingly and adhere to administrative and traffic guidelines.

Farmers have also been urged to suspend agricultural activities on March 26-27 due to the likelihood of thunderstorms and gusty winds in some areas.
