Srinagar, Apr 29: Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday ordered the transfer and posting of 96 officers in the civil administration with immediate effect. The reshuffle, detailed in an order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), aims to streamline governance and ensure better administrative delivery across departments.
Rakesh Magotra, JKAS, who was serving as Member, J&K Services Selection Board, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary to the Government in the Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment. Naseer Ahmad Wani, JKAS, previously Special Secretary in the Jal Shakti Department, has now been assigned as Special Secretary to the Government in the Public Works (R&B) Department, replacing Ghulam Rasool Mir, who will await further orders of adjustment in GAD.
Vir Krishan Dhar, JKAS, Secretary of the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission, has been appointed Additional Secretary in the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction. Dhananter Singh, JKAS, moves from the Forest, Ecology and Environment Department to the Health and Medical Education Department in a similar capacity.
Sonali Arun Gupta, IKAS, Joint Director in the Industries and Commerce Department, Jammu, has been posted as Additional Secretary in the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages. Atul Gupta, JKAS, serving as Joint Director of Information, Jammu, will now head the Tourism Development Authority, Billawar Duggan, as CEO. Rajesh Lakhan, who previously held the post, will await new orders.
Jagdish Chander, JKAS, currently Secretary/CEO of the J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board, is now Additional Secretary in the Housing and Urban Development Department, while Harbans Lal, JKAS, shifts from Housing to the Finance Department in the same rank.
Mohammad Ashraf, JKAS, General Manager DIC Kathua, has been appointed Secretary of the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission, J&K. Meanwhile, Rajeev Magotra, IKAS, has been posted as Additional Secretary in the Housing and Urban Development Department.
Sanjeev Rana, JKAS, formerly in the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, will now serve in the Hospitality and Protocol Department. Sukriti Sharma, JKAS, Deputy Excise Commissioner (Accounts), Jammu, has been posted as Registrar of GCET Jammu.
Umar Shafi Pandit, JKAS, CEO of Tourism Development Authority, Wullar-Manasbal, will now serve as Principal at the Revenue Training Institute, Srinagar. Deepak Dubey, JKAS, Deputy Director (AudioVisual) in the Information Directorate, has been promoted to Joint Director, Information, Jammu.
Other notable transfers include Pardeep Kumar to the Tourism Department, Abdul Rashid Dass as Registrar in District Anantnag, Syed Naseer Ahmad as Secretary of Srinagar Development Authority, and Girdhari Lal to the post of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Distilleries), Jammu.
Mir Nasrool Hilal Jeri has been posted as CEO, Tourism Development Authority, Pahalgam, while Kaiser Ahmad Bhawani has been shifted to Kishtwar in a similar role. Mita Kumari has moved to the Industries and Commerce Department, replacing Mushtaq Ahmad Chowdhary, who will now serve as General Manager, DIC Kathua.
Anshuman Singh has been posted as Additional Secretary in the Science and Technology Department. Zaheer Abass Bhat and Naser Ali have been appointed as Deputy Director, Rural Sanitation Jammu, and Joint Director, Industries and Commerce Jammu, respectively.
