Mendhar, Feb 6: A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) was found dead with a bullet injury in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Thursday, officials reported.
The incident took place in the Mendhar sector along the border when fellow jawans discovered the Naib Subedar lying injured. He was promptly taken to a hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
The Army has launched an investigation, with initial reports indicating the possibility of suicide.
