Jawaharlal Nehru Scholarship: Eligibility, emoluments, and how to apply

Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund has invited applications from candidates for annual scholarships.

The duration of the scholarship is two years. Any Indian citizen can apply for this scholarship. Selected students will get Rs. 18,000 per month and Rs. 15,000 for other expenses.

AREAS OF SPECIALISATION:

 A candidate may apply for this scholarship in any one of the following areas of specialization:

Indian History and Civilization

Sociology

Comparative Studies in Religion & Culture

Economics

Geography

Philosophy

 Ecology

Environment

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should hold a First Class Post-Graduate degree with a minimum aggregate of 60% at both graduate and postgraduate levels.

The candidate should not be above 35 years of age.

He/ She must be a full-time Ph.D. scholar.

The candidate should have a valid GATE/ NET score.

The candidate should be registered for a Ph.D. degree with a recognized university in India.

Selection Procedure:

After you apply, you will be interviewed at the specified time, if you pass the interview, you will be considered eligible for the scholarship.
