JAMMU, MARCH 11: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has made rapid strides in healthcare in 10 years.
“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has made rapid strides in healthcare in the past 10 years.“Our innovations in technologies and treatment are rated amongst the best, and our healthcare professionals have demonstrated excellence, and they are competing with leading health institutions of developed countries,” he said.
He was addressing a gathering after inaugurating the Shri Birendra Rai Hospital at Areraj, Motihari, Bihar.
The Lieutenant Governor congratulated and extended his felicitations to the family members of the Late Birendra Rai and everyone associated with the hospital, which will offer services in specialities, using the latest cutting-edge healthcare technology.
“Shri Birendra Rai Ji’s family has steered this esteemed institution for public service and care. I convey my good wishes to Shri Rajeev Kumar, Dr Sanjeev Kumar, and his family for the dedicated service that they are doing,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

Given the emerging challenges in the health sector, the Lieutenant Governor emphasised paying special attention to developing specialised human resources and extending quality and affordable medical care to all through a close collaboration between the public and private sectors.
“We should now focus on expanding the coverage of health services and giving access to affordable medical facilities to the people in far flung areas while ensuring quality service across a vast spectrum of healthcare,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
