Inclement weather:Authorities close Mughal road for 3 days

Srinagar, Nov 11: In wake of bad weather conditions from November 12, the authorities ordered the closure of Mughal Road for vehicular traffic for three days from tomorrow.

SSP Poonch Rajiv Panday said that in view of predictions of bad weather from tomorrow, the Mughal Road will remain closed for three days as precautionary measure.

“We have closed the road for vehicular traffic following the weather advisory amid predictions of rains and snowfall,” SSP said.

He said that the road will remain closed for three days from tomorrow till further orders.

The road will reopen once the weather conditions improve, the officer said.

The Mughal road- connecting the twin districts of Poonch and Rajouri in Jammu region with south Kashmir’s Shopian district was reopened for traffic on Thursday after remaining closed for eight days following heavy snowfall.
