Inclement weather: After KU, Cluster University too postpones tomorrow’s exams

Srinagar: The Cluster University Srinagar (CUS) has postponed all the examinations scheduled to be held on January 04 (Monday) in view of the inclement weather conditions.

The controller examination CUS, Mir Khurshid Ahmad said the new dates for the postponed examinations will be notified separately later.

Earlier in the day, University of Kashmir too had issued a similar statement postponing the exams for tomorrow.

“All Kashmir University Undergraduate and Professional Examinations—including BG 3rd Year, 6th Semester, BDS Final and  OCMIL—scheduled to be held on January 4, 2021 (Monday) are postponed in view of the inclement weather conditions. New dates for the deferred examinations will be notified separately later on,” Controller of Examinations KU Prof Irshad A Nawchoo said in a statement.

Kashmir is receiving the year’s first snowfall since Sunday morning. The weather disturbance, according to MeT, will persist for the next two days.

MeT has predicted heavy rains and snow at isolated places for the next two days.
