Srinagar: Netizens have started a social media campaign to showcase the beauty of Spring in Kashmir.

#Spring 2022  is trying to capture different hues of Kashmir. Social media sites including Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook are flooded with pictures of spring colors.

A virtual contest has also been started by social media buffs.

Mehraj_ an Instagram user has posted a picture of almond bloom at Badamwari, which has got him more than 4000 likes in just two days.

Using the Spring 2022 hashtag, Mahira too uploaded a picture of almond trees in blossom, which went viral.

 “Say Hello to Spring”, said Social media user Ounmehdi, who put up a reel on Instagram. His reel has got him nearly 1000 likes.

Apart from the almond blossom, mustard hues are also trending on social media. These days the vast swathes of mustard spread over acres and acres of land are a treat for an avid sightseer.

Social media users are uploading pictures and videos of the mustard fields of Kashmir. #mustardblossom has been trending.

Instagram user xehranfilms uploaded a picture of an almond blossom with mustard hues in the background which got him nearly 2000 likes.

Similarly, scores of the other Instagram and Twitter users have tried DDLJ hook step in mustard fields of Kashmir with mighty hills in the background. “My DDLJ moment in my native village,” posted Aamir Wani on his Instagram.

 Tulip garden, one of the major attractions of Spring, is set to be thrown open on March 23.

More than 50 varieties of 1.5 million flowers including Tulips are in full bloom in the garden.

It may be mentioned that more than 1.50 lakh people visit the Tulip Garden every season.
