Srinagar, Apr 04: IGP Kashmir Swayam Prakash Pani, accompanied by SSP Srinagar Imtiaz Ismail Parray, Wednesday took a round of downtown (old-city) Srinagar to take a stock of the situation in the city.
A police spokesman said the visit was primarily aimed at familiarization with the men deployed on ground.
“The officers interacted with them in appreciation of the nature of duties they are undertaking. During the visit, IGP Kashmir covered areas of Sheri Khas and also visited PS Nowhatta,” the spokesman said.
He added that the IGP gave instructions to the police officers to follow proper SOPs while dealing with any law and order situation.
