Srinagar, Feb 14 :Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday strongly condemned the attack on CRPF convoy in Lethpora area of Awantipora in south Kashmir in which at least 30 troopers were killed and several others injured.

Taking to social networking site Twitter Mehbooba wrote: “Disturbing news coming in from Awantipora. Twelve of our security personnel have been martyred and several have been injured. No words are enough to condemn the gruesome terror attack. How many more lives will be snuffed out before this madness ends?”

Mehbooba’s tweet came in the early hours after the attack when the death toll was 12.

At least, 30 CRPF personnel were killed and over two dozens injured when a suicide bomber rammed a vehicle laden with explosives into a CRPF convoy in Lethpora area of Pulwama district on Thursday.

This is one of the worst attacks since the 2001 Jammu and Kashmir legislative assembly car bombing.
