Here’s what Nawazuddin Siddiqui has to say about the South Films phenomenon ruling Bollywood

With the recent massive successes of RRR and KGF Chapter 2, Bollywood is suddenly witnessing a greater rise in South Indian films in Bollywood. More and more people are veering toward multilingual films because of their massive success. However Nawauddin Siddiqui has commented on the same and he believes that this is just a ‘phase’, which will soon disappear once a Hindi film becomes a blockbuster.
On the contrary, Nawauddin is also of the opinion that somewhere Bollywood is responsible for this trend of letting South films be released in the Hindi language. Speaking to a leading daily, he commented on the same, “One mistake that happened is that we kept doing remakes of South films. The biggest problem here is with the writers and stories, we are not making originals at all, leaving everything up to the remakes. I think we should take a lesson from that mistake and start making original films. That would be better.”
While speaking to a leading publication on whether Bollywood is a little overwhelmed with this ongoing phase, he shared, “I think it’s just a phase, now if a Bollywood film comes and becomes a super-duper hit, then the things you are saying right now, that will change. Here people’s thoughts change after every picture, people only talk about the film that becomes a hit. But if a Hindi picture comes now and becomes a super-duper hit, this perception will change again.”
On the work front, Nawazuddin has Heropanti 2 releasing this weekend where he will be seen alongside Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria.
