Govt to launch MIS for procurement of Apple produce

SRINAGAR SEPTEMBER 05: Government is launching Marketing Intervention Scheme (MIS) for procurement of Apple produce from the growers of Kashmir Valley through National Agricultural Produce Marketing Federation  (NAFED) so as to ensure good remunerative prices for apple growers.

The scheme shall likely be announced on September 10, 20219 and it shall be specific for J&K only. The procurement shall be made on rates higher than what the farmers are getting now.

Already a team from National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Limited (NAFED) has arrived to finalize the modalities for procurement with the State Government. The scheme shall benefit orchardists of valley to a large extent.
