Govt terminates VCs of two corporations

Srinagar, July 9: Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday terminated the appointments of vice chairpersons of two corporations in the state. In two separate orders issued through the General Administration Department (GAD) the government said the appointments of vice chairmen of J&K Agro Industries Development Corporation and J&K State Advisory Board for the Development of Gujjar & Bakerwals have been terminated with immediate effect. “The appointment of Rashid Ahmad as Vice Chairperson, J&K Agro Industries Development Corporation made by the Agriculture Production Department vide Government order No.129-Agri of 2017 dated 11.05.2017, is hereby terminated with immediate effect,” the GAD order read. Another order said: “The appointment of Mr. Gulzar Ahmad Khatana as Vice Chairperson, J&K State Advisory Board for the Development of Gujjar & Bakerwals made vide Government Order No.1688-GAD of 2017 dated 29.12.2017, is hereby terminated with immediate effect.”
