Govt seeks info about advisors, consultants hired by PDP-BJP regim

Srinagar, July 06: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday sought information regarding the engagements of advisors and consultants in various departments during previous Mehbooba-led PDP-BJP government. In an order issued here by the general Administration Department (GAD), the government asked the administrative secretaries to furnish the details of Advisors/Consultants engaged in various departments during the previous Government. “While certain departments have submitted the details, the others have not responded so far,” the GAD order said. The matter has been considered by the State Administrative Council in its meeting held on July 4, the order said. “Based on the decision taken, the undersigned is directed to request the Administrative Secretaries to review the engagements of Advisors/Consultants in their Departments based on their merit/performance and submit all cases to the concerned Advisor by 06-07-2018 for a decision on continuation or termination of his/her engagement,” it said. The order also asked the advisors to decide the cases by July 9. The General Administration Department should be apprised of the action taken by the Administrative Departments by July 9, 5.00 PM positively, it said. “The matter will be discussed, thereafter, in the State Administrative Council Meeting on July 11,” the GAD order added.
