Srinagar, March 1: The Jammu and Kashmir government has announced a major reshuffle in the civil administration, ordering the immediate transfer and posting of 41 JKAS and Junior Scale JKAS officers.
According to an order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), several senior officials have been reassigned to key positions across various departments.
Vivek Sharma, JKAS, Special Secretary in the Agriculture Production Department, has been appointed as Director General, Floriculture, Jammu. She will assume charge after the retirement of Jatinder Singh, JKAS, on March 31, 2025.
Bhawani Rakwal, JKAS, previously awaiting adjustment in the GAD, has been posted as Project Director, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.
Khalid Jahangir, JKAS, Managing Director of J&K Trade Promotion Organization, has been transferred as Special Secretary to the Government, Industries, and Commerce Department. He will also hold additional charge as Director, Entrepreneurship Development Institute, J&K, until further notice.
Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza, JKAS, has been appointed as Managing Director, J&K Housing Board.
Rubina Kausar, JKAS, Special Secretary in the Labour and Employment Department, has been reassigned as Director, Libraries, J&K.
Sudershan Kumar, JKAS, Secretary, J&K Board of School Education, has been transferred as Managing Director, J&K Trade Promotion Organization.
Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar, JKAS, has been posted as Vice-Chairman, Lakes Conservation and Management Authority, J&K.
Naseem Javaid Chowdhary, JKAS, has been transferred as Director, School Education, Jammu.
Mohammad Younis Malik, JKAS, has been reassigned as Special Secretary to the Government, Power Development Department.
Vikas Sharma, JKAS, Director of Horticulture, Planning, and Marketing, has been posted as Special Secretary to the Housing and Urban Development Department. He will also oversee the Mission Director, AMRUT.
Mohammad Nazir Sheikh, JKAS, repatriated from Ladakh, has been appointed as Director, Handicrafts and Handloom, Jammu.
Ashok Kumar Sharma, JKAS, Director of School Education, Jammu, has been reassigned as Special Secretary to the Labour and Employment Department.
Rajinder Kumar Sharma, JKAS, Director, Entrepreneurship Development Institute, J&K, has been transferred as Special Secretary to the Government, Jal Shakti Department.
Puneet Sharma, JKAS, Director of Geology and Mining, J&K, has been appointed as Special Secretary to the Revenue Department, overseeing the DILRMP, NAKSHA, SVAMITVA, and AGRISTACK projects.
Suraj Parkash Rukwal, JKAS, has been posted as Director, Geology and Mining, J&K.
Mohammad Farooq Dar, JKAS, has been assigned as the Managing Director of J&K Horticulture Produce, Marketing and Processing Corporation.
Abdul Sattar, JKAS, will now serve as Special Secretary to the Government, Tourism Department.
Ashish Kumar Gupta, JKAS, Managing Director of J&K Housing Board, has been appointed as Special Secretary to the Skill Development Department.
Rakesh Magotra, JKAS, has been posted as a Member of the J&K Services Selection Board.

Rahul Gupta has been reassigned to the Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs.
Sahir Majeed and Supinder Kour have been posted as Under Secretaries in the J&K Public Service Commission.
