Governament Nusing College GMC Baramulla celebrated “International Nurses Day” at Govt Degree College Baramulla to commemorate birth anniversary of “Florence Nightingale” pioneer of modern nursing.
The programme held on Saturday focused on this year’s theme “Nurses- A Voice to Lead- Invest in Nursing and Respect Rights to Secure Global Health”
The chief guest was Dr. Nisar Ahmad Dar While Shiekh Abid Manzoor was guest of honour.
While addressing the audience Principal Nursing College Dr Dilshada Wani said, “In healthcare structure nurse is important and plays a main role in managing the comforts of the patient.”
Orginising Chairperson Dr Dilshada Wani, unfold the theme and discussion about the importance and scope of nursing. Orginising Secretary Javiad Ahmad Mir present the welcome address and Arshid Nazir Shah presents the vote of thanks.
The function was attended by Superintendent GMC Baramulla Dr Javid Iqbal.
HODs GMC Baramula and faculty of govt nursing college nursing staff and nursing faculty, and students BSc nursing students also participated in seminar on theme “A voice to lead:invest in nursing and respect rights to secure global health” and also presented cultural programs and concluded after felicitation of students.
