Govt appoints Mir as ADGP CID

Srinagar, Jan 02: The state government on Tuesday posted the former IGP Kashmir Abdul Gani Mir as the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) CID, JK.
According to the order issued by the government under number 04-Home of 2018, dated 02-01-2018, the recently appointed ADGP, Abdul Gani Mir has been posted as ADGP, CID, JK against an available vacancy.
The order reads that Muhammad Sulaiman Salaria shall continue to discharge his duties as Director, SKPA, Udhampur.

“The post of the Director, SKPA, Udhampur is declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Additional Director General of Police, in terms of rule 12 (1) of the Indian Police Service (Pay Rules, 2016, till it is held by Salaria,” order reads.
The government ordered further reads that Alok Puri who was also promoted recently as ADGP shall continue to hold the charge of the post of IGP, crime till further orders.
It further reads that the PHQ shall; draw the salary of Alok Puri and Munir Ahmad Khan against the available posts of Additional Directors General of Police.
