Srinagar, Jun 26: Hizb supreme commander and chairman United Jihad Council (UJC) Syed Salahuddin while commenting on the recent imposition of Governor’s rule in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday said that political development is “insignificant and non-issue for the people of Kashmir.”
Salahuddin said that the successive governments in Jammu and Kashmir have always been New Delhi’s “puppets” whose only business is to implement their masters’ orders in Kashmir.
He said that blaming the people who had ideological or professional differences with Shujaat Bukhari for his murder is “foolishness, unrealistic and criminal mindset.”
The UJC chief made these remarks while holding a high level UJC meeting at Muzaffarabad, said a spokesperson.
Castigating New Delhi for Ramadhan ceasefire and talks offer, he said no seriousness was exhibited by India, “otherwise there would have been a genuine response to the same by the UJC.”
He said dialogue for the sake of dialogue won’t do any good as it didn’t do any good in past.
He said in order to make dialogue a meaningful process New Delhi must understand the territorial and historical aspects of Jammu and Kashmir and it would be better for the regional and world peace.
