SRINAGAR, JULY 26: Government Medical College Srinagar organised a multi-specialty health camp at Takinwaripora coordinated by Department of Community Medicine at Block Hazratbal. The programme was first of the series under its family adoption program (FAP) for the first batch of UGs of GMC Srinagar which is a requirement under NMC regulations henceforth.
The camp was inaugurated by Principal/ Dean GMC Srinagar Prof. (Dr.) Iffat Hassan Shah, marking the beginning of a day-long healthcare extravaganza.
Approximately 1000 patients got benefited from the camp, receiving free consultations and treatment from the team of expert specialists from the various departments across various disciplines from Associated Hospitals of GMC Srinagar viz: Departments of Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Dermatology and ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) of GMC Srinagar, provided their invaluable health services for the visiting community and patients. The dedication and professionalism of the entire team was evident in the thoroughness of the Health Checkups and the personalized care each specialist provided. Patients received a range of free services, including Consultations, Diagnostic tests and Drugs and Disposables supported by ancillary and allied teams from Block Hazratbal.
Referrals for further treatment ensured continuum of care and necessary health related services.
The camp was held at Takenwaripora, Block Hazratbal, Srinagar, making healthcare services accessible to the local community. Head of Department, Community Medicine Prof. (Dr.) Iqbal Pandit, appreciated the efforts of the coordination team from his Department specially Dr. Waseem, Dr. Taha and appreciated Dr. Fara Shafi, BMO Hazratbal and her team for their tireless efforts to ensure the smooth execution of the camp, providing vital logistics and medical services to those in need.
