Geelani, Mirwaiz, Malik condemn killing

Srinagar, Jun 14: The Hurriyat Conference (g) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani, has condemned the killing of Syed Shujaat Bukhari, editor Rising Kashmir group of publications, by unknown gunmen in Srinagar.
As per an official statement, Geelani has said, “It is against the moral and human ethics to kill a person without any justification.” “While regretting such mysterious killings,” Geelani has said, “the difference of opinion is no way a crime to kill a person.”
Geelani while paying his condolences to the bereaved family has prayed for the eternal peace Shujaat Bukhari.
Hurriyat (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq also condemned the killing. Mirwaiz wrote on Twitter: Deeply saddened and shocked by the tragic news of Shujaat Bukharis killing! Such inhumanity is unpardonable and condemned in the strongest terms!Proud son of the soil his death is a huge loss.Shujaat was an erudite intellectual a fearless journalist and above all a selfless human deeply concerned for his people. My heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family. Pray to almighty for his magfirat and place in Jannat.”
Yasin Malik, the chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, too condemned the killing.
As per an official statement, Malik has said, “This attack on a saner Kashmiri voice is barbaric, gruesome and direct assault on freedom of speech and expression.”
“Kashmir has today lost a balanced voice at the hands of ruthless assailants and this is actually a moment of mourning for all of us.”
While praying for his heavenly abode, JKLF chairman has expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
