NUBRA, APRIL 28: Under the guidance of Principal Dr. Tsewang Motup, the faculty and students of Government Degree College (GDC) Nubra conducted a mega awareness and enrolment drive on April 26, 2025, across the villages of Bogdang, Turtuk, and Tyakshi.
The team interacted with students from the higher secondary schools in these villages, raising awareness about the upcoming Bridge Course scheduled from 28 April to 10 May 2025 at the GDC Nubra campus. The sessions also included counselling for recent 12th pass-outs and current Class 12 students, focusing on course options available under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, encouraging them to make informed choices during the admission process.
Team Bogdang included Assistant Professors Mohd. Mussa (Team Leader), Stanzin Itga, Rinchen Angmo, and students Shah Jahan and Zangskit Dolma. Team Turtuk consisted of Assistant Professors Sonam Angmo (Team Leader), Stanzin Padma, Dr. Padma Lahmo, Mohd. Javed, and students Sanju Kumari and Samina Anjum. Team Tyakshi featured Assistant Professors Tsewang Lahmo (Team Leader), Dr. Konchok Dorjay, Spalzes Angmo, Dr. Masroor Ahmed, and student Naziya Anjum.
School Principals Tsewang Dolma (GHHS Turtuk) and Mepham Tsomo (GHHS Bogdang), along with school teachers, parents, village leaders, and local stakeholders, actively supported the initiative, contributing to the success of the awareness drive.
