Srinagar, Feb 24: Advocate Riyaz Ahmad Buchh, the husband of former Chief Engineer Power Development Department (PDD), Shahnaz Goni was allegedly murdered at his home in Greater Kailash area in Jammu on Monday.

Relatives of Goni said that Riyaz, who was doing private practice in Jammu court, was allegedly killed by some unknown persons who have also decamped with some belongings including Advocate’s vehicle in Jammu.

They said that Goni is presently in USA to attend the marriage ceremony of her relative while his son is in Goa, adding that the slain also has one daughter who lives at her husband’s house in Jammu district.

Relatives added that Advocate’s daughter who, on Sunday, met him at his home said ‘he was alright’.

However, Monday morning, they said, some of the relatives visited him, but nobody opened the door. “After managing to open the door, the relatives found Advocate Riyaz dead with several marks on his body, giving a presumption that he has been murdered,” relatives said.
