Srinagar: Gulmarg is becoming a must-go-to-place for every social media buff these days for different reasons.

It is the Lupine bloom, which is taking the internet by storm as every day hundreds of people visit to place to witness the vibrant Lupine flowers blanket.

The hills have transformed into a surreal landscape with a myriad of Lupine shades, ranging from deep purples and blues to soft pinks and whites.  This phenomenon has drawn the attention of nature enthusiasts, photographers, and travelers from across India.

A new trend has emerged on social media wherein influencers and nature lovers capture the purple and pink hues of Lupine to attract more views and likes.

Social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, are flooded with stunning images of Gulmarg’s Lupine-covered landscapes.

The hashtag #LupineGulmarg has gained significant traction, with thousands of posts capturing the essence of this floral paradise.

“Have been to Gulmarg many times but never knew that we have such a piece of paradise in the form of Lupines. A must place to visit and explore beyond regular Gulmarg and Ponnyride,” wrote Aamir Majeed on Instagram with a landscape view of Lupin flowers.

Many social media influences-locals as well as non-locals- capture reels and photographs in the Lupine shades to attract views and likes on social media.

“Lupines in summer are what tulips are in Spring. Let’s promote Gulmarg as a Lupine Paradise,” wrote Sami Khan, a social media user on Instagram.

The tourism department through its social media handles too has joined the contest to promote Lupine of Gulmarg.

The tourism department on its Instagram and Facebook handle shared a reel of Lupine, which has garnered an immense response from nature lovers.

Lupine fields have become a popular spot for visitors including locals as well as non- locals.

“We have seen pictures of Lupine on the internet and we made a special request to our travel agent to take us to these Lupin farms in Gulmarg. It was awesome,” said Sneha Chakraborty, a tourist from West Bengal.
