Mumbai: Indian women’s T20 skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, who led the squad to a historic T20I series win in South Africa, said the biggest plus was the team’s improved fielding. “The South Africa tour was good. The good thing is that team did not depend on one or two players and everyone performed,” said Harmanpreet. “Jemimah Rodrigues has shown talent at international level.
“Our fielding, where we were lacking over the last few years, has improved and that is the biggest take-away from the tour.” She said keeping in view of the World T20 in West Indies later this year, the team was intent on giving chances to youngsters during the upcoming matches against England and Australia.
“We have the T20 World Cup and want to give chance to youngsters,” she said. India would first play against Australia in Vadodara and then will be involved in a tri-series involving Australia and England in Mumbai.
