Employees to contribute more towards Red Cross

Srinagar, Jan 4: The government employees have to now pay double their voluntary contribution towards Red Cross Society this 2017-2018 fiscal.
According to an official order, the employees taking Rs 1800 as grade pay, Rs 100 will be deducted towards Red Cross Society against the earlier Rs 50.
For the employees in grade pay Rs 1800-2800, Rs 150 will be deducted against the previous Rs75.
For the grade pay 4200-5400, Rs 300 will be deducted towards Red Cross Society compared to the previous Rs 150.
For the grade pay 5600-7600, Rs 400 will be deducted, while those in the grade pay of 8700 & above would pay Rs 500.
The rates have been revised by the Red Cross Society, with the ministries, secretaries, heads of departments allowed to make voluntary contributions up to Rs 1,000 per annum.
All the drawing and disbursing officers have been asked to deduct the contributions as per the new rates.
