Kashmir Monitor

Srinagar, May 01: Senior national conference leader and MLA Kangan Mian Altaf Ahmed has termed the statement of BJP leader and Deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta as an immature and unfortunate.
In a statement, Mian Altaf said that the statement of deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta is completely senseless and condemnable.
“The assertion of the BJP leader that the Kathua incident is a small matter when this horrific and shameful incident of rape and murder of an eight year old girl not only shaken the entire country but the entire world condemning it and demanding punishment to the accused, shows how the BJP which is part of the government is concerned about giving justice in the case,” he said.
“When Prime Minister Narendra Modi was himself pained after the Kathua incident and condemned this criminal act, however unfortunately his party leaders here are terming the incident as a small matter” he said.
Mian Altaf said that the Prime Minister and Chief Minister should take note of the statement and act against such persons who give such irresponsible statements.
Mian Altaf sought that the deputy chief should apologies for his statement.
