Dry, subzero weather engulfs Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 4: The minimum temperatures have dipped below the freezing point in most places of the Valley, with the summer capital Srinagar registering the coldest night of the season so far.

Srinagar recording its coldest night of the season so far at minus 3.2 degrees Celsius, a MeT official said. The official added that the minimum temperatures were likely to drop further due to the clear night sky as mainly dry weather was expected in the next seven days in the state.

Ski resort Gulmarg recorded minus 4.0, degree Celsius temperature,  tourist destination Pahalgam was at minus 5.5, Leh recorded minus 10.6, Kargil minus 9.7, Jammu city 8.9, Bannihil 2.5, Batote 3.4, Katra 8.6, and Bhaderwah 1.3 degrees Celsius.

In Ladakh, Leh recorded -10.6, and Kargil minus 9.6 degree Celsius.
