SRINAGAR, AUGUST 11: Dr. Shahid Amin, regular columnist for Kashmir Monitor, was recently honoured at the 30th Convocation of the All India Management Association (AIMA), hosted at the iconic Habitat World, India Habitat Centre (IHC), New Delhi. He was recognised for successfully completing the Advanced Certificate Programme in Business Consulting—a prestigious, practice-oriented course designed to build advanced consulting capabilities.
Known for its highly practical pedagogy, the programme places a strong emphasis on hands-on experience. Participants, many of them top-level executives and senior professionals, are rigorously assessed through a Comprehensive Examination, Consultancy Proposal, and Viva-voce. The aim is to equip them with the expertise to act as trusted business and management consultants, guiding organisations through critical problem-solving and strategic transformation.
Dr. Shahid Amin, who currently serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Management and Convener of the Institute’s Innovation Council (IIC) at ITM Gwalior, is also an alumnus of the Faculty Development Programme at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) and a life member of AIMA.
Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Amin said, “Such programmes achieve their true value when knowledge is channelled into meaningful societal contribution. The learning here comes not only from veteran experts but also from the vast experience shared by fellow participants.” He extended thanks to AIMA for the opportunity, and to ITM Gwalior’s leadership for their constant encouragement to take up initiatives that enhance his skills and enable greater contribution to academia and society.
Originally from Tral in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Amin has built a strong record in management education, entrepreneurial development, and thought leadership. He expressed heartfelt appreciation to his family, mentors, friends, well-wishers, and students, calling this recognition both a proud moment for Kashmir and a source of inspiration for the region’s aspiring professionals.
